Crunchy Gearbox

Guys
Just need to confirm something...
Ive had my evo 5 for around 3 weeks now, and the gearbox is a little "crunchy".. is this the case with all Evo's??
Or do these kind of cars have a smooth gear change?
Also it seems to be a little difficult to get into 2nd gear when the car is cold, but once its warmed up then it goes into gear like as you would expect......
Is there anything I can do to sort this out..... ?
thanks
