Evo 6 clutch

Well it was bound to happen at some point, the clutch has started slipping badly as in I can't even let the turbo boost otherwise the revs go crazy and I go nowhere FAST!.

Need some help here guys, I contacted Ralliart here in Auckland and they said straight away that I would need a new Flywheel as well as a clutch kit, they told me this as soon as I told them it slips as soon as the turbo cuts in, he said that my flywheel would be all blue, at least I think that's what he said.

He then told me a range of options to go for i.e. ralliart clutches and or evo 8 clutches and flywheels along with offering the standard Evo 6 stuff.

Really I just want to know what you guys think is best and if what he said about replacing the flywheel without even having my car there is right and what option is best to go for?

Thanks people

As for flywheel, go for Fidanza. They have a really good name in the evo world :muhaha:
As for clutch, is your car standard? Is it used on track at all?

Just Replaced my clutch and flywheel 2 weeks ago mate.

Went for AP Racing organic clutch and fidanza flywheel. Don't really notice the difference with lighter flywheel, but then again my VI is down on boost just now

A Fidanza flywheel with an AP Organic is a good combination.Although if you replace the flywheel which 9 times out of 10 have to you may aswell go for flywheel and clutch for a 7 as they are slightly bigger

Fidanza aluminium flywheels are not so good..

From experience the aluminium expands more than the steel ring gear when it gets hot and the aluminium becomes compacted, when the flywheel cools it can leave the ring gear loose

The AP clutch is the one to go for though.
