EVO X Test Drive

Attended a track day, for the new EVO X, at Prodrive last month and was sold on it immediately.
The performance and handling are both spot on and the new SST box is just fantastic.
My FQ300 SST arrives in 2 weeks.
Has anyone driven one on the road? let me have your views.

Spent a few weeks reading about the X - I loved by 6 back in 2000 and have never fully recovered, so tomorrow will be taking out the demo X from Mitsubishi in Warrington to see what I think.

Still can't decide on the SST transmission though - cant see yet how this can make you as connected with the car as a manual.

Will let you know what happens.

Geoff - is your date still looking good? I'm told 8 weeks if I want to choose colour...thinking white at the moment...

When i test drove the X here in the US, it didnt feel like an evo at all! it wasn't as rough as one, it felt to smove at times, and the acceleration was really weak, but i guess there's a new tune you can get from the mitsu that makes it better as it was running too rich at higher RPM's from the factory. Also, we dont have the SST tranny yet, but i'm sure it'll be really nice to have

Do you happen to have a electronic copy of the owner's manual? Mine is in Japanese so I'm searching everywhere for an English copy. Appreciate if you can help me out on this. Cheers!

There's a guy on here that has the X 330 and he is either having problems with it or its just not as good as his 9 360...... spikem603 is his user name... posted a thread about it Not Happy!!! its in Automotive Chat....
