Another Early EVO to late EVO conversion question(Injectors)

As we all follow the upgrade path, the next thing likley to run out of steam will be the standard injectors. I have heard that the later injectors will fit straight in. If this is the case which will be the best ones to go for when planning a 350bhp rebuild? and will anything need to be be done to make the car run, or will it just be a case of getting to someone with the right equipment to have the fuelling set up properly?

Cheers

Nigel

To be safe at that power level I would choose something bigger than 560cc from the later Evos. Go with at least a 650cc. All you need is an ECU chip compensated for your injectors. We did a chip for ex GTI-R on MLR compensated for 750cc injectors and his car runs like stock and makes 360 odd at the flywheel.

At 350bhp, the duty cycle on 560's is a walk in the park
You will be more than fine

Even for a 0.5 BSFC, 560s are small for 350 hp if you don't want to exceed 80% duty cycle. Having said that, your car will still fuel at 100% duty cycle (mine currently does :-) ) but it is not the recommended way of doing things.

The 560's on the Evo will run 420bhp @ 95% duty, 350 without reg would be more than safe, but as its an early Evo, an uprated fuel pressure reg is a must
As i said, 350 on an Evo only tickles 'em
