Dowpipe leak?

Just wondered what you lot reckoned to this;
I have recently noticed that i can hear a "blowy" noise coming from the front of the exhaust, under the bonnet on idle. Also i have noticed a "fluttering" sound under load from the same area (doesnt do it if you blip the throttle standing still) and if you sit with the fans on you get exhaust fumes inside the car! I know my flexi is shot as it makes a horrendous noise at around 4.5k revs upwards but does this sound like the front pipe as well or something more serious? :???:

Cheers
Martin

Seriously though, could possibly just be a shot gasket. The fluttery sound you mention could be the penny valves being a little worn.
