Evo 3 Boost Problem

Right need some ideas chucking my way!
Have a customer with an e3 that i cannot get the boost down to anything like normality, ive disconnected the boost controller and ran the actuator pipe straight to a pressure take off=no difference still 1.8bar.Fitted another actuator thinking the original was faulty=no difference
made sure the waistegate is opening and it is with a good smooth motion!
Re-fitted the controller=no difference
Gauge is an apexi with tell tale but when you drive it,it doesnt feel like 1.8bar although it is giving the symtoms i.e fuelcut(sometimes)
I have now tried everything i can think of apart from fitting another gauge. What next?

whats the pipe like from the actuator mate? try swapping that? I had a kink in mine and was making it boost to silly amounts.

If its there when i come up try my dawes device thing on it if ya like. if thats turned to the minimum theres no other option than a dicky gauge really is there.

You have prob already checked this pete but the hose that goes to the intercooler pipe from the boost controller solinoid may have a slight split in it. This will cause serious overboost. Mine split during a journey to Yarmouth last year and i instantly hit 1.8 bar  went like sh*t off a shovel tried it again and hit 1.8 bar again. Went to a friends garage and they had a look at it and put it down to a faulty actuator. Crawled home the next day and checked all the pipes and hay presto!! Boost pipe split where it joins onto the intercooler pipe :-) replaced and all back to normal. Hope u solve it mate

Tried all that Ben,had different actuator etc on as well, problem is it doesn't feel like 1.8bar when your driving which points the finger at the gauge
