Ralliart ECU

Anyone know if a ralliart ecu for a VII (ra560649r1) will work in my VIII GSR?

i dont think the VII and VIII ecu's are the same to be honest, but not 100% sure.

like i said i'm not 100% but when i spoke to Sam (the dentist) and asked if a 7 ecu would fit my 8 he said it wouldn't.
but well worth confirming this.
