Evo 6 ECU's

Right guys, Im a little confussed here.

I have an evo 6, and I also have a spare evo 6 ecu.

Today I decided to plug the spare 1 into the car to see if it works.

Anyway I plugged it in, and went for a drive, and the car seems to go better now than it did on the original ecu.

So I thought i'd take a look inside it.

Both ecu's have the same number on the cover, but there totally different inside.

Heres some pics.

Is there any real difference between the 2 ecus ? or was the way the car drove just my imagination ?

The fueling on my AFR seems to be similar on either ecu, and because my boost is set on a dawes device boost is the same on either of them.

Does anyone know what the difference is between the 2 ???

Having put both ecu numbers into google (the codes off the boards, not the covers), it seems the 1 board could be a ralliart ecu, can anyone confirm this ??
