down on power?

am i down on power???

i feel my evo 4 is very laggy in 1st gear and feel it runs out of oomph in 2nd gear at high revs. i also find it hard to get a clean pull away without it bogging or am i being just a complete ?????
(honest answers wont be taken the wrong way i wont be offended!!)

ive not had it long and i maybe just pussy footing around too much with it but im not overly impressed with the performance at the moment, yes it goes but not what i expected & if im completely honest, i expected it to go like stink.

Ive had a fair few quick cars, i.e sierra and escort cossie, plus i used to have an old mitsy gto t\t 4wd slightly modded around 340hp.

weighing 1990 kg and with a 0-60 time of 5.5secs and a 1/4 mile time of 13.9 secs in the gto in stock trim i feel it would beat my evo 4 at the moment. :hang:

i know i need to get my boost checked and i am fitting a guage in the very near future but wondered what boost should i be looking for in stock trim?

should this be a no contest?? with the evo only weighing around 1400kg and 276hp i feel it should be much faster than my old gto. :x

what 1/4 mile and 0-60 times should i be recieving with the evo?

Brian.

Cant really help mate, its one of those things you'd have to feel.

For me in 1st, spools up at 3k ish rpm and its all over quickly, then into second, hardly any lag, and pulling right through the revs.

Could be a Hose or i/c leaking??
