HKS EIDS Electronic Idle Controler

Hi Guys,

Have anyone the installation diagram of the HKS EIDS device?? It´s very complicate to install?? I think it can help on some idle problems on my Eco 7 after the SSQV valve fitted.

A clear explanation would be much appreciatted. :helpme:

Thanks

Pedro,

It's simple to install (I haven't actually fitted one but I removed one from my VI).

What you need to do is cut the wire from the AFM to the ECU and connect the yellow wire on the EIDS to the ECU end of the cut wire and the white wire to the AFM end. Then splice in the power and ground wires and the throttle wire to the ECU harness.

See attached diagram.

The EIDS will reduce the airflow signal from the AFM to compensate for the air that has been vented from the system by the Dump Valve.

You can adjust the value the AFM signal falls to and the duration via the adjusters on the EIDS (See other diagram).

Cheers,

Simon

Simon,

Do you have the wire diagram of the RALLIART SPORT ECU ?? Is the one that I have fitted and I want to be sure about how connect the wires from the EIDS.

Pedro,

The Ralliart ECU has the same connections as the std one. I think the wire colours should be in the service manual (viewable via this site). I tried to have a look at my ECU connections but can't see the right wires at the moment.

If you can't find the colours, let me know and I'll check properly tomorrow.

Cheers,

Simon
