blow off valves

i was going to buy either a blitz or hks blow off valve, are they both vent to atmosphere units????

i have been looking at some old threads and a lot of people seem to have problems with stalling or low idle speeds after fitting them?

whats the deal with them then anyone???

if i fit one will i probably get idle and stalling probs???

The HKS is a vent to atmosphere unit not too sure about the Blitz but I think it is too

I have never experienced any problems with my car stalling or any idle problems due to the dump valve so I can't really help you on that one babe

blitz atmospheric -beauuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful sound.
not had probs idling / stalling since fitted but must admit when you take foot off the juice in low gears is a little erratic - well worth it though

had HKS fitted to my 4 and now have 1 on the MAK and iv never had any idling os staling problems with either of them touch wood *kennyp touches his thick northern nut lol*

if i remember rightly when you fit the BOV if you have idle or staling problems then you are supposed to disconnect the maf sensor wiring from the maf sensor housing, turn the ignition on for a bit then off then reconnect

sumit to do with the ecu not learning or sumit, thats wot my mechanic out here in cyprus did to mine anyhow

you gotta buy 1 just for the ppppppppppphhhhhhhhhhhhhttttttttttttt whhhhooooooooooooosssssssh pppppppppppppppppppppphhhhhhhhhhhhtttttttttttttttt t factor lol

dump valve

bonjour...

i had my hks dump valve fitted by the Evo Net service crew

ive had no problems what so ever,
the only thing i have noticed..

when i really blast the car, if i slow down , or become stationary

i get a very slight rise in rpm ,

so tick over can some times be a little higher , than normal

no fuel cuts or any other problem ... :driving:

go for it fraser effective not only in sound but releasing pressure so keeps turbo spinning when changing gear instead of pressure slowing turbo down when nowhere to go
