Still having problems...

ok guys some of u migh remember i was after a coil back a few weeks ago as the evo was not firing on one set..


well i replaced the cil pack.. still the same problem.. i replaced the ignition amp thing next to the coil packs.. still got the same problem...

one coil pack is to firing...

now the first problem i had was that the car would start then after 10 to 15 secs cut out wth the engine light flashing.. after ifound out the coil pack was not firing i assuemd it was that ...

the only other thing i think it could be now is the ECU .. but its bloody strange that one pack fires but the other dont..

si there anyway diagnostic ports on the early evo that i could check for any error codes or any toher way to test the ECU ???

Have you had anything electrical installed recently? Like an Alarm etc..

Might be worth borrowing an ECU to try it out mate?

no nothing new electrical installed... err well other than a foglight.. i guess i could disconnect that just incase hehe..


sadly i dont know anyone with an early evo around me
