whoosh whoosh whoosh

hello, i have an evoII which has a dump valve and an hks airfilter. when i let the throttle off i get a repeating whoosh from the car, loud and it sounds exellent. i thought it was just the dump valve, but the noise comes from the air filter. the car runs 10-12 psi, anyone know what would be making this noise? lots of people have said that evo is definatly not standard. aprt from, cat back, air filter and dump valve i cant see anything else thats been done. any ideas if there could be some hidden modifications?
