First post and a worrying engine sound!

Hi folks this is my first post on here lookin forward to gettin to know everyone and stuff!

I have a worrying noise coming from the engine of my evo 6 gsr, at first i thought it may have been a ehat shield rattling about or something
but now i am not sure what the hell it is!

It seems to be coming from the front center/drivers side of the engine and it happens when i rev the engine and it is returning to normal idle speed.

It seems like a kind of metallic clicking/scratching sound which goes in time with the engine revs.

Here is a sound clip i have made of the noise, i have messed with the e.q on it to cut out as much sound as possible and just focus on engine bay noise:

most probably the auto-tensioner, the crap always fooking up try spaying a bit of wd40 on it to see if it quiets down, wont fix it but will let you know if that’s what
