acutor

just picked car up from majorservice 9000m,and ive been told the acutor is feeked and iam over boosting as i now nothing about cars are they a dear bit to buy and fix,also been told i have very early signs of the dreaded cranckwalk been told new bearings and £150all in should fix so not to dear but how long before it gets worse or should i do straight away(money money and more money),and my lash ajusters need replacing but i new that,apart from that he said it was a good motor
or should i just sell up and buy a ford

I don't know about everything else but you can replace the actuator with one off a later Evo. I think they're around the £70 - 80 mark. Mine had worn on my V although I replaced mine with a actuator I bought off ebay (1.2 bar unit) only cost me about £65 it came from Japan.

if i get the bearing done for crankwalk and its early stages of it will it cure it or will it come back as the garage said it will be ok for 30/40 thousand miles,and how soon should i have it done or should it be straight away

If I was you sean I would speak to Pete as he has worked on a few evo's now that have had crankwalk.

the understanding I have got is the earlier you find it and get it fixed the better.

What a bummer though mate.

You never know he probably has a actuator floating around. If not try Gaz@cpp he breaks evos, but i would say ring him as he does forget.
