are the holes in the bearings also a mod or is that standard? and is it me or are in the last pic. the middle diffent shape then the other two?

the holes in the side of the bearing are the mod,the center bearing has intergrated thrust which is why its different

Firstly cheers Pete both for posting the photos and doing the work, the car is running perfectly now, the difference is huge.

I would definitely reccomend the mod, and although I dont fully understand the technical side of it there is a vast improvement in terms of drivability and smoothness during gearchanges.
