hi mate

do you have an oil pressure gauge in the car ? i assume your not getting any extra 'noises' for the engine ? does the light go out when you rev the engine a bit or is it there just on tick over.

if no to all the above i would say that yu have a loose wire on the oil sender on the engine, if not loose, then the oil sender is probarly faulty. thats not expensive to change mate

cheers

Nah, I dont... Im actually thinking of putting one in now...
Just phoned RSE and they reckon we need to get a pressure gauge on there as we need to check what kind of pressure is on when the car is idle as it just flickers on when turning corners or when im pulling out from my drive...
might need to just take it somewhere local and get it checked out proper as i dont think its something that I can ignore really...

hi mate

ok yes i would get the pressure fited sooner than later, its a very reassuring feeling so a good oil pressure. not so good if it shows a crap one, but at least u can see exactly whats going on.

also try and avoid driving the car hard until you get it fitted.

cheers
