so me thinks its time for a rebuild
what kind of prices do u reckon im looking at to have it done if i can get hold of some later evos pistons and rods and is there anything else i should look at changing while its in bits without going to over the top

To be honest mate i would recommenc forged internals. Do a job properly and it will only need to be done once. And what ever you decide in the future with mods you know the internals can take it. Is an extra expense mate but well worth it

theres no gain putting latter evo stuff in there m8,rods from an e8 are near identical pistons are of a slipper design thats about it,plus non of it fits properly so your botching rather than rebuilding, have a word with markevo3 on the mlr,we just built his a couple of months ago with new everything all blueprinted and balanced, the difference is amazing and it revs to 9k
