Evo 4 coolant

Well, basically when the engine warms up the coolant has started to vent via the expansion tank. Its done it a few times since i've had the car (when its got rather hot from well...... you know) but it seems to be doing it abit more just recently. Any causes that are known as the warranty is up in about a month and if anything needs replacing, now is the time to do it!

Cheers peeps

a couple of checks

check the cap& rubber seal on the cap first
make sure its ok(a common problem ive heard)
i may seem silly but make sure the coolant is up to the right level
not over filled
then get some to do a pressure drop test over night
that will give you some idea if some thing else has gone

It is a common problem indeed ... you often hear IV owners mention this.

If I fill the expansion tank up to the "maximum" mark, my car keeps spitting water out when hot until the expansion tank is nearly empty. Then the problem stops.
