oil still!

right first of all i cheaked my oil on a bit of a hill today and it woz reading just over minimum would being on a slight slop make that much differance and also when does the oil light come on? im still filling my catch tank another 6oz today but i did drive it hard blew away a scooby (it had to be done) anyway im gonna cheak it again at work tomorrow its flat there .Oh and hello to everyone that woz at ace cafe its good to put some more faces to the names!!

you should always check on the flat mate

if on a slope it could run away from the dip stick or too the dip stick then you may
have too much oil.

both ways would be incorrect readings

so do u know when the oil light would come on i didnt take it to work so i didnt get a chance to cheak it

the oil light only comes on with low pressure and you really dont want to see that when you are driving :shock: .i know with ours the ground has to be flat when you check the oil as it does show high or low even on a slight incline.

liverly that has sorted that i have a slight slope so level ground is a 100% must fingers crossed its fine!?!

hello again i have cheaked my oil on flat groung and its on min still and i have abused it a bit but it sounds fine and not loosing anymore could it be my oil catch tank that is interfearing with the oil level? i fill it to max and it just chucks it out till it reaches min and stays there for eva im realy confused

when you say you fill it you are putting the oil in the sump arent you?
