i do like the k&n but when i put this on my other car it started to choke the engine :???: same as a shitty replica k&n.
that is why i then went with the bmc filter. im considering putting a bmc on my evo

I heard HKS are poo, got one on mine and seems ok. Think it depends what type of element you get for it.
I have some filters here that are Apexi copies. My mates got one on his evo 5 and hes been happy with it. Can have one for £20 if ya want it mate. Theres not that much of a science to it that all the companies make out mate. They spend more time on how they look than how they actually work. |

to be honest im not at the moment looking for a induction just wanting to know peoples view on what filter they like and what problems they have had with others. basicly if someone is searching the site they have a thread where they can come to read all about different opinions on filters.
steve i know i was suprised aswell. ive only read good things about k&n. it could possibly be the person who sold it me, gave me the wrong filter. i.e for a smaller engine. the bmc cda induction kit is all inclosed so not much noise atall. has anyone tryed the RAMAIR indution kit? it seems to me that alot of people with jap cars stick jap aftermarket parts on(i.e hks filter)? is this the best option?

think thats the trend yeh mate. Most people seem to have HKS ones on cos they came with em on from japan or they just want the jap image etc

Its another one of those personal choice things really Joel :muhaha:
The people who run HKS and had no problems will stick up for them and visa versa for the K&N, Blitz etc Its just as bad as asking what evo is the best I must admit though the HKS RSK is our biggest seller closely followed by the K & N
