Boost Limit?!?

I want to know, with a good boost controller if it would be alright to boost 1 bar in my E4. I mean its got balls now BUT as it goes I WANT MORE! Its gone an HKS POD filter and nice HKS exhaust. No engine mods... I want to be able to drive it to work and back everyday too...possible?

If you have a decent controller then you can run 1.25 bar before hitting cut

theres no problem running that sort of boost, your motor will fail due to crankwalk more than anything,or spun bearings, neather to do with boost
do make sure you have enough fueling though i.e walbro pump fitted at the least

yeah, do you think running it that much boost is all good?? Anything else I should do first? Stupid crankwalk!!!!!! I heard I should use an EVO5 thrust bearing and mod my block to make it fit...apparently that helps crankwalk?

you cant mod the block to take e5 bearings successfully and they walk also anyway
Apexi avcr for a boost controller

As said above,

You could turn the boost up to 1.25 safely, as Pete said, make sure that the fuelling is ok (would recomend a Walbro 255 at least).

On the boost controller front, either Greddy Profec B Spec 2, APEXi AVCR or HKS EVC

Good luck :thumbsup!:

Lloyd
