Tubular manifolds...is there any gain in power at all? any down sides?? and is it betta to get an external wastegate or stick to the standard one. [/url]

Hi IV
My m8 with an E6 has added a tubular manifold. The car seems to responding better and there is a big difference in the midrange. Not a bad upgrade in power or throttle response for £440, and it looks the dogs too 8)

Here she is... big difference in mid range and makes power delivery smoother through the range :-)

yeah thanx! what about the wastegate? Ive seen a few stainless manifolds with the external pipe on them for the wastegate. Is it better than the internal one on my IV? ALso those two little pipes coming down from just before the intake manifold, I heard they are some kind of antilag system...and some of the manifolds dont cater to that. Any Ideas? Cant wait to get me a manifold!!![/b]

The 2 pipes I think you are on about are the feeds for your EGR valve! :-)
