**SUB ZERO** Toyota MR2 Mk1

After a lot of talk and them driving past up on the weekend.

The project was originally started as far back as 1976 and revived in 1979, the original prototype being the SA-X. The final prototype was first shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in 1983. The car was launched in Japan in June 1984, in the USA February 1985 and the UK in March 1985. The only significant revision was made in August 1986, and the club designates the revised car as the 1B, the original version being the 1A. This time also saw the launch of the T-Bar and the Supercharged model (never available in the UK but many of our members now own ones imported from Japan). April 1990 saw the launch of the Mk2, and in 2000, the all new MR2 MK3 roadster. (Don't forget your toothbrush.) An old rumour says that the MK1 was designed by Lotus..... A recent rumour says that the engine was designed by Cosworth....The truth is out there...

I say cool but if you asked me a few years ago I would sau UNCOOL.

Maybe I just like what it led to with the different models.

Like most cars, the older ones are looking better all the time
