Evo.net Forum Rules V1.1
General
1. Purpose of the Forum: This Forum exists to bring Evo owners from around the world together.
2. Purpose of these Rules: These Rules are laid forth in the hope that they will facilitate discussion of the aforementioned topic, engender communal spirit and mutual forbearance, and provide a common basis for what is and what is not allowed.The Admin's decision is final & absolute.
3. Acceptance of these Rules which may be changed at anytime without notice, so please check reguarly: Registered users, Paid up Members choosing to post on the Forum implicity accept these rules and agree to be subject to their application. Forum Users who are not paid up members are allowed to post one post per day up to a maximum post limit of 20 per month.
4. Moderators: Moderators exist to facilitate this discussion. All Members and Guests are encouraged to contact Moderators concerning any queries or complains they may have concerning the Forum, its Members or its Rules. Moderators are in turn expected to assist Members and Guests or refer them to relevant officers. To report a post to a moderator click on the appropriate button when viewing a topic.
5. Affirmative Action: In all cases Moderators may amend posts not found to be compliant with the Rules expressed herein. Entire threads found to be in violation of these rules may be locked or deleted; in the former case the moderator shall add a post explaining why the topic was locked. Deletion is reserved for more serious offences and should always be a last resort. If, once a thread is locked or deleted, a Member or Guest posts a new thread essentially in continuation of the previous thread, this new post (and any thread that may ensue) can be deleted without notification or mention. Multiple copies of a cross-posted message may be deleted, provided that one copy be left in place.
Also if anyone puts up a post up where people make ‘personal’ attacks against the management, other users or the running of the club the post will be deleted without notification. If the poster persists with doing this they will be banned from the club and will if a member they will automatically forfeit any membership fees paid. Any deletion of any Management postings will also result in instant banning from the forum. We reserve the right to remove/delete any post/thread we deem unsuitable or inappropriate.
6. Illicit Access and Hacking of this Forum: Any attempt to gain illicit access or illicitly elevate one's privileges on this Forum will result in immediate banning and reporting to the perpetrator's ISP, whether such attempts are successful or not. They will also be reported to the appropriate authorities.
7. Obscenities: Obscene language is not allowed, and direct links to obscene material is not allowed. (One is, however, allowed to post a link to a relevant site that may or may not feature pornographic pop-ups; the poster is encouraged to forewarn of this when posting.) Furthermore, Members found to have obscene or offensive nicknames or avatars will be requested to make corrections; if met with non-compliance, moderators will be allowed to unilaterally make amendments as they see fit. However, when changing a Member's username the Moderator is required to send an email to the Member in question informing him or her of the change, lest the Member be unable to log in again.
8. Software Piracy: Requesting or posting serial numbers, cracks, links to file sharing sites for commercial programs is not allowed. Posting links to such material is not allowed. Advertisement of websites offering commercial software for illegal download ("warez") is not allowed.
9. Mutual Respect: Members and Guests alike are expected to behave in a civilized manner and respect one-another. This means no derogatory or snide remarks of any kind. Traditional social niceties ("good manners") such as "please" and "thank you" are encouraged. Rudeness will not be tolerated, and personal insults may be reported to Moderators who will be allowed to admonish or suspend the offending party. Cross-posting is rude and multiple incidents will be met with serious sanctions.
10. Posting Images: Users are encouraged to post images at the highest resolution Evo.net supports. Evo.net also encourages using the site uploader to attach images to a thread. Please do not use photobucket.
11. Spamming: Users found to be spamming or posting unjustified commercial links with a view to promotion of a commercial entity or self-promotion will be subject to banning. The post will be deleted or the relevant links rendered inert/removed.
Evo.net Specific
12. Traffic light grand prix: Nobody wants to hear about how you done your mate in his Impreza Turbo or how fast you have gone on the public road, so save it.
13. Insurance: Evo.net is supported by 2 well known insurance companies. We do not condone defrauding of insurance companies. This includes not declaring all modifications and fronting (insuring under parents etc) so kindly dont tell us!
14. Tuning: Dont spout unfounded information about engine modifications, especially "I got 400bhp with an air filter and dump valve" style posts. You may get flamed.
15. English Language: Please don't use sms speak or otherwise shorten words.
16. Search facility: The forums best kept secret. Please use this as a lot of the general questions would have been answered 100 times before.
If you can't find what you are looking for just stick a thread up. One of our helpful members will be able to help you out.
17. Trading: Please feel free to advertise private goods in the parts for sale section. We do allow business's to trade via the forum, and offer Official Trader packs highlighting those companies that demonstrate a high level of service to our members. Please bear in mind that we cannot arbitrate in disputes over sales between members or unoffical traders however. Official traders help to support the club, please help support them.
