Help Please AP 6 pot users!!

Anyone with any experience using AP 6 pots i am in need of your experience!

As my original post explains i have just removed my old pads to find the wear a little unusal.

The AP 6 pots have three pistons on each side of the calliper, a large one at the top near the bleed nipples, a medium one in the middle and a small one at the bottom. At the large piston end the pad is wearing a lot more and i am worried this is wrong.

I have just fitted some new pads and bled the brakes, when looking at the calliper with the brake peddle pessed you can see that the top pistons are pushing the pads more than the bottom (small) pistons.

The pistons are not seized and the seals are fine. Makes no sense to me and i am very confused. The callipers are fitted perfectly and even if they were not it would not affect the pads in this way. Both sides are the same which makes it even more confusing, if only one side had done this then i could guess at a problem.

I hope someone can help figure this out as i am at croft on Sunday.

from memory the small piston should be the 'leading' edge.....................

this may well be the issue as they have unequal pistons to try and balance the pad wear.............
