Upgrade the pads to Yellowstuff (£50-60) and bleed the lines and you'll notice a massive improvement. Goodridge hoses will improve the feel no end (about £40 IIRC)

Big brake kits are for homosexualists :woohoo: :P

martin sounds good, cheers.

i thought the yellow stuff are for track days bud and take time to warm up?, mine is fast road use tbh (greenstuff came on the car when i recently bought it)

in regards to the goodrige hoses, where do you reccomend getting them from? and are they easy to fit?
do they simply improve pedal feel or do they actually help braking?

cheers

who wants to stop quicker :muhaha:

if you just want pads and disks not a big brake kit then imo i would go for ferodo ds2500 or carbotech xp8 pads with mintex disks a set of braided lines and some good fluid will do the trick.
just my opinion. tbh its all down to personal preferance

Failing that get yourself some EBC Turbo grooved discs and team it up with Ferodo DS2500 pads or XP8 pads :muhaha:

Budget combination and work really well together

Ive just splashed out on carbotech pads for front and some goodridge braided lines, I have project mu pads which were great at first but since i went to the ring last may they seem really vague. Brakelines you can get off e bay. are £45 plus postage, and carbotech pads are about £100 ish, can get these from the Tyrant.

I really need some advice which fluid to use now, people keep telling me different things. some say dot 4 others say dot 5.1, lot of people said the 5.1 needs changing loads as brakes become spongey. Any advice would be appreciated.

Or you could get some proper brakes like these but you might have to wait 6 months like i did, but well worth the wait! best mod i've done and i can brake so much later now it really makes a differance. if you can afford them its well worth doing.

Seen the pics mate. look great and I bet they do stop well. Outta my price range at the mo though. Wish someone would make Brembos fit on the early evos, i'm sure it could be done.
