Front ARB

I get the feeling I'm about to ask a rilly stoopid question, so please accept my apologies in advance.

Is there supposed to be lateral movement in the front antiroll bar?

I'd have thought that the bushes would have clamped the whole thing tight, but the arb ends appear to be of a design that allows for sideways movement.
