What gives you more

So as not to totally hijack TM's thread............ You know how 'snotty' he can get.

Anyway this is the 'debate'!

Both Blinder and myself [i] spent about £1000 in all to have driving tuition with Don Palmer. Now I say that 'pound for pound' that represents the best performance increase money can buy! I can't think of any 'Mods' you can do for £1000, that will give you the same reduction in ,say, 'lap time' as some decent driver training.......

At the end of the day I could drive my car around the same circuit 'a lot' faster than I could at the start of the day. So does anybody think there is a 'mechanical' modification that costs £1000, that could produce better results??

I don't think there is though, i'm not sure how good Don is, but £1000 would get you a few track days with ARDS instructors, you may learn more there?

Mechanical mods to get your lap times down, i've always felt much quicker in lighter cars, and more confident in them too, so how about stripping the car out, with well set up ARBs and coilovers for your grand?

However, you should have simply hired me out, wouldn't cost you a grand and I'd have scare the 5hit out of you

Already been doing some training for friends venturing onto track or sprinting, don't claim to be expert by any means but I do have a eye for lines and attention to detail with control

So who want to hire me, couple of cans of stella and I'm anyones

You don't have to pay that much mate! You can have my old tyres when I change them! They'll be slicks by the time I've finished with them
