What would you choose and why ?

Im in the market for an evo 1-3 and would like to find out as much as I can about them.
I have always been lead to believe that the 1 and 2 are the ones to go for as the the 3 cannot handle as much boost as the first two ???

Im looking at a quite nice example of a 2 next week but theres a few bits that are needed and i understand parts for these cars are quite hard to come by, so i will be sure that the price reflects that.


So if you could help me out and give me your general opinions on the first incarnations of the evo that would be much appreciated !

for me it has to be the iii purely for the fact it looks better and came in yellow 8)

think out of em all the 2 is the best. suspension set up is the same as a 3 but engines stronger cos of lower compression etc. Agree the 3 looks better though. depends what you want though. if your planning on forging the 3 go for one.

Or do what I'm doing, get a 2 then get the 3 bodykit bit by bit lol

@ Paulpick21 lol that was what i was supposed to buy a few weeks ago but the deal fell through hence why im back searching for another.

@ Paul16v Thanks i think im going to go for the 2 as i prefur the interior aswell, btw if you dont mind me asking what are your wheels and where did you get them from i think your car looks stunning ! also if you've got any pics of her feel free to post :P

erm the evo 1 has to be my fav. but the 2 has the best engine. but regards to boost the 3 standard with a few minor mods is best kept at 1 bar like ours but we were running our 1 with the same mods at 1.1/1.2. they had the same bhp but the 3 def felt the one with the more power. although our 1 was .3 of a second slower than a 340 round a slalom. both with jc driving.

mmmm just read all that and it doesnt help you does it :muhaha: go for the 1 if you are looking to have the highest boost but the 3 if you are going for looks. and good power.

its has too be a 3 for me to as tuppy said they did it in yellow (who ive got one :muhaha: ) no mate i would seriously go for the 3 yes it carnt run as much boost as the 1&2 but ill can easy say its defo the fastest of the 3 and looks 8) what i mean is if the 1&2 are runnig 1.2 bar and the 3 is running 1bar the 3 will still out do the others throught past experiance..... of drag strips. races with friends etc....
