Nighmare E4 recall work @ Ware garages

Hi chaps,

Got the letter from Mitzi saying about the rear suspension arm recall, phoned and booked it in for 2 weeks so I could have a courtisy car, the garage phoned me the evening before, bloke says sorry I cant have a car now, ok I thought, its only going to take a few hours (managed to blag a lift from brother in the end) droped the car off last Friday, they phoned late afternoon, sorry we are having problems, your fuel filler neck is rusty and al the bolts have snapped. You will probably have to pay for another one.............

Nice I thought, car sat there all weekend...........I phoned them on Monday, service manager is on a course, spoke to someone else and he says the fuel filler necks are on back order .....(but says he should be able to get me one for Wednesday) yeah right.

Phoned this morning, no delivery yet, phoned a min ago and they have a delivery but no filler neck.(suprise suprise)

So my car is stuck there, I have no courtisy car and they dont seem to have any idea when/ if they are going to get the part.

Told me they will push it in and out of the garage for me.........nice, dent the F$ck out of it probably.........

I am F&*king steaming, any one any ideas what I can do ?

I just spoke to Wayne @ AMS , he has one and could send it special delivery tomorow for £50 + vat, Mitzi are only open Friday morning................

Shit, dont know what to do, I cant leave my car there over the Xmas break, all the cars in there car park have dents and gashes all over them :twisted:

i dont think there is a lot you can do but i would check the bodywork when you pick it up for small dints were they have been pushing it in and out the workshop. if they can`t give you a date when it will be completed by then i would push for a car from them to run about in because then it turns in to a customer care issue.

Sorted, got the car back this afternoon, have to say a big thanks to Wayne@AMS for sorting me a filler neck 8)
