Crank Pulley

Mine's been tapping away and wobbling like an epileptic in a nightclub for a while now and was getting worse very quickly. To save it throwing a belt i bought a new genuine replacement from www.diamondautoparts.co.uk and had it fitted this morning. No more wobbles or taps just a nice quite, smooth running engine 8)
I forgot to ask the garage for the old pulley but will try to get it in the and post some pics up to show how bad it was. The rubber in the pulley was totally buggered

Incidentally, Mitsubishi in Bath wanted £147+VAT for the part, i got it from Diamond for £120 INCLUDING delivery and VAT :-)
If you need a genuine part they are highly recommended, their website doesnt list much but give them a bell and they're likely to have the part your after at a good price.

what do people think to these lightweight ones? i can only see the benefits if you get the crank and fly balanced at the same time, but i can imagine it lowers inertia

Aye, it was making a hell of a racket. By the morning i took it to the garage it sounded like an old air-cooled v-dub and the pulley looked to have about 10mm of play in it  Put it this way, if i had waited a couple more days im sure that it would've been too late
Oh well my xmas bonus, partly paid for it
