just been out playing with a 996 turbo, got clutch probs now

I have just been out for a wee drive and had a mental play with a porka 996 turbo for quite a few miles.............it was quick !

Had to back off because the gearchange was getting really really stiff, 1st thought was that the oil was getting a bit hot but never had a problem before, I am using silkoline syn 5 gear oil.

Well it got worse, as if pressing the pedal was just not dis-engauging the clutch enough to change gear, managed to get it home ....just ....bit of a mission !!!

I fitted an Exedy single plate organic a couple of months ago as reccommended by mr Norris, it has caused viberation problems from new

Spoke to Wayne @AMS recently and he says he wont even sell the clutches anymore because of the viberation problems ! he says in one instance it sorted itself out after about 2k miles (about what mine has done)

Now , if I manage to get it into first, it does not vibrates like it did before and seems smoother, not as much bite ???? I dont think it is slipping but didnt risk giving it some on the way home .

Is it worth me trying to adjust the pedal so I can get more travel? and where should the pedal sit in comparison to the brake pedal?

Cheers

Trev

The clutch and brake pedal should be level.
Did you fit a new flywheel at the same time as your clutch?
