ouch!!! airborn over a humpback bridge

f**k me,did i go airborn?
[b]YES
I used to be a sales manager at a vx dealership and tonight i went over to see my salesman who took over from me as manager.Well, during my time there i had a vx220 as a demo,so,on a quiet saturday morning we used to do time trials in round a certain route. So tonight i popped over too see him and he insisted that i take him out(always the obliging show off) i did!mmmmmhhh
Go on he said"go round the old route" well i had too didnt i? Oh yes, left, right,a bit of braking, then the approach to the notorious hump back bridge in Great Bowden.
Well, the rest is not quite as bad as you might expect.I must have hit it at about 60mph,where as in the vx,probably half that speed, well,we took off,i just mean left the groud,it seemed like we were in the air forever. We landed really straight and composed, but just a little bit too hard(i think).Sparks came out of the back as i looked in the mirror,we did land quite hard, but,i just knew we hadn't done that much damage.
I pulled over about a mile up the road,on his insistance too have a look, nothing visible as you look at it,but as i ran my hand underneath the front bumper, ther are definate signs of gravel rash.
Big up too the evo guys, they fly as well as they drive.
It will be put right, cos you can rub polish into rough surfaces, even if they cant be seen!
Anyone else got any air miles on their evo?
:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Sounds like you had fun!
I did take off once in my evo when I didnt realise how harsh a very small bridge was , and travelled over it at about 70 .
The revs rose for a second til I hit the ground.
I found myself shouting out loud "get in there" as it was quite exciting!
Even went down that road again one day to do it again :muhaha:

In a company car i guess its ok cos you dont have to put it right. It sounds like you had fun and it must of been a nice feeling knowing that youd damaged something that a previous employer is going to have to pay to put right.I guess the moral of the story must be""NEVER BUY AN EX DEMONSTRATOR""
