evo 1X opinion

bonjour ...

earlier today i test drove the new 1X ..... for approx 30 minutes

the seats looked and felt better half leather / suede

the ride was a little harsh , more like the way i have fugly now ..

the defuser made the evo look higher @ the rear , giving loads of clearence

although you could see it had actually been lowered ...

i was'nt impressed with the wheels ... i thought them a little bland...
for a £29,000 car ..

interior wise , i could'nt tell any major difference , all the usual cubby holes and bits and bobs ..

the six speed box was nice and sharp.. and changed easy, but it seemed like i was changing gear far to often ...

the rear spoiler was excellent in carbonfibre, whilst the boot and every thing else wise seemed exactly the same as a evo 7 upwards .

while blasting about it didnt seem any quicker than fugly , just a bit smoother ..the cornering and steering were up to the usual standard

brake wise ... i didnt notice anything exceptional , but then i thought the suspension a little bit harsh..... more like a sti subaru ....

well my view ...

i thought it was nice to drive a new one ...
i wasnt over impressed ,
for me there are not enough changes to warrant buying one ...

it seemed to me , that mitsubishi are selling old stock , thats been revamped ,

so they can start fresh with a new evo x ..
i would'nt buy one , @ £29,000 not for me , i will wait for the X
to come along ...

im a little disapointed after reading a few good reviews ...
the problem is these people dont drive the evo all the time which means we dont get a true review.....

ix

Fugly, why would you want to change yours for a ix?.All you have to do is change the bumpers and no one would visually know the difference.Wayne
