Autronics ecu questions.

Could anyone tell me approximately what it would cost to have my evo IV sent in to MA Developments to have fitted with this board and i read that you need some switchs fitted or something before you send it in? What's that all about? Any help would be appriciated. I'm relatively new to the modding scene so I don't know much about it, just that autronics makes your car go BROOOMMMM!!

Depending on the spec of your fitting and mapping of autronics will be about £2000.

As far as switches go, if you want it you can have antilag and launch control with autronics, both of which need a swtch to turn them on and off, it's a very simple thing to do that your tuner shouldn't have a problem with.

Thanks for the fast reply, is £2000 worth it for the xtra performance of the car (does it lower 0-60 times etc?)? where do you get the switches and what is the cost to fit them etc? Thanks again.

Yes yes and yes, 2k should see a complete price for a map and any other little bits required. What state of tune are you at now?

Oh and

It will give more power and lower 0-60, but more important will be the better power delivery which would give you better lap times. You will feel a difference.

The switches just need to be regular ones like you'd get from and electrical part supplier, just pick ones you like and then they need fixing somewhere handy and a couple of wires running to the ECU (in the passenger footwell), so they don't cost much.

Hehe thanks for all the info, there have been no mods made as of yet as I have only had the car a short while so it is stock basically, could you suggest what I should have done to the car first? As I say I'm new to modding and haven't really got a clue. I want it to sound good, not that it doesnt already, and you know generally be a cool little car, also raise the bhp too. Say if I spent £2k on the ECU, and perhaps £1k-£2k on the other stuff what should I have done? What will these mods do to improve the car and how do they work? I feel that it's better to know how something works because then you'll apprieciate it more when it is working :-) . Once again thanks for the help and HI!

Well ok,

For Autronics, here goes. You NEED a de-cat exhaust walbro 155ltr fuel pump, fuel regulator, decent air filter and a aftermarket dump valve to get the best out of the ecu

Also a gold card for optimax
