Evo Prices

Anyone else noticed a massive drop in prices of the IV-VIII MR? The I-III prices have dropped a few % but the prices of the IV-VIII MR are dropping badly. Sussex Reims is selling his mint VI for under £15k for god sake.

Makes you wonder how the hell an N plate Cossie goes for £16-£18k

Just to add.. Escort Cossie was £22k brand new.
Sunny GTi-R was £24k and the Intergrale £23k.

Now look at the resale value. GTi-R's can be had for under £6k [shitters go for £3k].

I know what I would rather have

14K without the brand new 18"s  Think the market for the early EVO's is driven by the buyers going after low priced cars and leaving the better cars forcing them too to drop. This causes a vicious circle as the only way to shift the higher mileage, fresh of the boat and shabby cars is to drop them further.

I genuinly think the knowledge of buyers knowing good cars is thin. The Escort Cossies did the same for a while but most Scossie owerns now seem to big enthusiasts as the shabby cars a either no more or in such bad shape no-one touches them. Expeienced this at the RS Owners club day at Santa Pod the other Sunday.

No real answer to the newer EVO's tho as all really in same cond, mleage and with FSH. Think they r just folloing the overall slide but are the 7 and 8's are definately the bargain to be had.

Good luk with the sale bud, its a sunny Bank Holiday ahead and hopefully 2 people are in the mood for 2 superb Reims 6's.

i think that the 6 & 7 will repersent value for money

the 4 & 5 will become more affordable for the average chav ..

Don't sweat on it chaps, depreciation is all part of the fun!!

I bought a jap WRX in October '99 for £16k, sold it in May '03 for £7k, and it was MINT with only 53k on it!
I bought my VII in October '03 with 10k miles on it for £18500, so I've lost say £3k in 18 months. I can live with that! 8)

It's only people that buy Evos brand new that really get the shaft... :muhaha:
