27 mpg ! WTF !!!

I must be driving like a

Filled up yesterday, went to the office and back (about 70 miles of roundabouts, single and dual carriageways and motorway), then down to Cleethorpes this morning (mostly motorway) and had to stop at Doncaster on the way back to fill up. Ok, wasn't flying, but I weren't hanging about either - 80-85ish cruising speed, and fast acceleration off the roundabouts and slip roads.

Anyone else get fuel economy this good? Have rather surprised myself, obviously learnt something from the IAM.

well i had a full tank this morning when i left for the airport

did just under 200 miles and it cost me 40quid lol

wasnt hanging about neither if you know wot i mean

27mpg, I so wish! Cost me 30 quid to do 100 miles yesterday! :shock:

thats nothing, nearly cost me my licence to do 1/4 of a mile, hee hee

27mpg is very good.. I get between 16-22 depending on how I drive

140 - 150 miles on £35 for me, which is a *bit* less than 27mpg!! :shock: Hell, I only manage 23mpg in the wife's astra... :muhaha:

The driver information system *sniff* on the S4 tells me that I 'average' 16 Miles to the gallon......... If I feel 'up to it' I can switch to instantanious readout and see that I can go as low as '2' MPG!!
