black smoke?

Whenever Im behind hubby while hes driving the Evo if he steps on it really quick a puff of blackish smoke comes out.
I figure hes just "running rich", but he wanted me to run it by you guys to be sure

sounds like running rich to me.. only worry if you get a cloud of black off boost or white on boost

nothing to worry about I think as my VII does similar

Nothing to worry about..
Its also common to get flames out of the exhaust from time to time

As the guys have already said black smoke is fine, its just fuel

You don't need to start to panic until the smoke is Blue :shock: then you know its costly :-?

you're in NY take a trip down to NJ to turbotrix and get your ECU flashed to even up your A/F ratio.... and it'll make you car run a LOT better
