Before you go to the expense of a re-build

Have you done a compression test?

Also, is the actuator/turbo in good condition???

Yeah the turbo and actuator are fine, havent done a compression test but when i start the car from cold and put my hand up to the exhaust it covers my hand in black spots of fluid??????? also when the car has been driven and turned off then on again within 5 minutes i get a puff of smoke when the car is started up???

Hmm ok.

I would get a comp test done first. Black spots may not be anything to worry about necessarily, all evos are over fuelled. Mine gives out a puff of grey/white smoke now and again due to fuelling. If yours is black then definately do a comp test!

What mileage and mods does the car have?

Yeah they are the only sumptoms, ive got an induction kit , exhaust and de-cat, i might just be being paranoid but im gonna spend some cash on getting a boost controller ecu etc and dont really wanna do that if the engine is gonna go bang.... by the way its got 55 thousand miles!!

Ok Coxy, dont worry chap.

Doesn't sound too unusual to me. But, you did say it isn't pulling right? How do you mean?

How long you had the car btw??

I would agree with Steve on this one Coxy love, not sure its too much to worry about.

Especially considering that the car has very little mods done, nothing that would cause problems for sure.

If you truly are worried at all ...do a compression test though, at least it'll put your mind at rest

what boost are you running mate?
what other major mods do you have?
have you checked your actuator???
when they seize (ie.not completly fecked) they can limit your boost and the car feels very poorly
