Evo 4WD & turbo is fast and good for drag. But I believe a small and light weight Honda CRX or 2 dr Civic would be more suitable drag car. I know its only NA and not easy to get more HP...

Yes it's a suitable drag car - because it's fast, but:

Assuming it's a GSR:

Why pay for an Active centre Diff, and AYC - when all you're doing is belting it in a straight line - you're wasting half the technology of the car......

You're much better off with an RS, or dare I say it.......wait for it.... (puts flame suit on and starts the engine and selects first gear and gets ready to sidestep the clutch)

With an STi (pref V6) Type RA V-Limited - because it has a v.short ratio as standard, is lightened all over, and goes like shit off a shovel.

Why people buy EVO's just for the golden 1/4 I just havent a clue, they are massively expensive to tune - and once tuned to a high level - massively expensive to own and run (and repair) - see what Clarksons lot did with that £500 Jag and some NOS - I remember they ran a stupid 1/4 mile with that thing - now thats what i'd do - buy a V8 shed, lob some NOS into it, run it, kill it, and do the whole lot over again - that way - you dont have to worry about when it all goes bosseyed and smoke is pouring everywhere.........

just my 2p (now wheres that auto trader...)

I am talking about weighing up money spent to get a 10 second car..

You could buy a drag Skyline for less than it would cost to buy an Evo and get it to the same 1/4 mile speed as the Skyline :?

it is as long as its done properly from day one and the transmission is sorted and strenghened , diffs, props and maybe even custom driveshafts and diff from the rally diff builders

and engine is where the prob is, its puny and a knife edged crank with only 4 cylinders but as the usa boys and aussie and new zealanders have shown us, it can be done 8)

yep i know im building one
