beeping in MR FQ320 cabin

Hello.

I asked this on the MLR too, but to no avail. Does anyone know anything to do with a monotone beeping in the MR FQ320....it happens when the revs are ~5000+, and then it goes off again when they drop. It also only happens perhaps once ever 200 miles. Very bizarre.

Thanks,

Matt

p.s. it's nothing to do with the climate control, and in fact sounds like it might be coming from the ecu....I keep trying to capture the sound on my phone, but it's sods law that when I get the phone ready, the sound stops!

is there a boost gauge installed in your car mate?
if it was installed when you got it, as some boost gauges beep while on a set boost

no boost guage, but yes to tracker...but it can beep at as low as 2nd gear 4000+ rpm....unless they're telling me off for my outrageous speed the other week....by means of beeping torture!!!

is the tracker monitored by a monitoring station?
could be preset to annoy the driver at certain rpms/speed
worth chacking up with the installer/station

the weird thing is, it only happens now and again...cold or hot (the car), so there seems to be no pattern as to when it happens. I don't have a turbo timer :-? , so I can rule that one out...the car is boggo standard except for the decat pipe and some graphics...and I'm sure they don't beep

do you know where it is installed?
where is the sound coming from?
should find the tracker if you can hear the area of the beep

the beep is from my left....that's all I can tell. I think I'll book it in and have it looked over. i know that the dealers have recognised it, as they say another customer has the same problem.
