Is the Evo mark going downhill??

As time goes on I am seeing more and more of chavy types behind the wheel of Evo's.. When Evo's start turning up at cruises and people are performing hand brake turns in McDonalds car parks, it does nothing for the image of the Evo.. :x

This happened to the Impreza some time ago.. £16,000 now gets you a 2 year old Impreza STi..

A lot of owners sold their Impreza's for an Evo due to this fact.. Will the Evo continue in this fashion? If so, Honda NSX Type-R will be in my garage soon as the Evo will have to go..

It's definitely going downhill, and I am gutted. I think we all get baited more and more often now, and I definitely see more of the "JUST GOT MEH FIRS SCOOB - FAST AS FUK INNIT!!!" posts on scoobynet, by the, lets say intellectually challenged, burberry baseball cap wearing fraternity....

What can be the end result of the depreciation I wonder? more and more chavs behind the wheel of EVO's and Imprezas, cars with almost supercar performance, and young dumb drivers with minimal fear and zero skill = many more deaths on the road = higher insurance, more police clampdowns e.t.c e.t.c e.t.c......

I think i'm going to garage the car, track it at the weekend, and get a run around....or failing that get a radical.

Hi Blinder,

Nice first post and welcome to lancer-evo.net.. 8)

Its such a shame about such fantastic cars being dragged through the mud like this.. It happened to the Sunny GTI-R a few years back.. Hence me selling up for the Evo..

I'm afraid there's not a lot we can do about it. Sold the Scoob for that reason hope I don't have to sell the Evo just yet!!!

It seems a lot of Scooby owners have come across to the darkside for this reason..

Just wish the Ned's would stick to Saxo's and the like so we don't get seen in such negative light by the rest of the drivers on the road..
