£13k would get you a tidy Evo V GSR or an ok Evo VI RS.

Quick follow up question to the first.

This may sound a bit wimpy, but. Is it possible to get an exhaust pipe
that doesn't sound like its on bad steroids. My wife doesn't
want me waking the street up. Basically I am looking for a pipe that
will let the engine breath but not burst any ear drums.
If I had my way I would have the loudest going but SWMBO
rules around here!!!

The standard Evo system is ok for a standard car. If you change the filter and intake pipe [HKS Racing Suction kit - See my Evo: http://www.lancer-evo.net/php/myevo6.php] then the standard exhaust should be binned for a better system. Also, a decat would be a good idea. This gives more power and torque and the engine will feel more "alive"..

The Blitz system is VERY loud! HKS Hypermuffler and SuperDragger systems aren't as loud but on idle could cause your neighbours to complain..

good news looks like its a goer.

Only thing is I need to get my hands on some security for it.
Obviously it needs a that cat 1 and some sort of tracker system
does any of the fine people here have any experience with any of the
other systems rather than the tracker??? RAC etc??

I heard that tracker were a bit shyte...

I was with Navtrak and they were ok..

I think it has very little as it is an import.
The ins company want a tracker type system, before they will
take it on.
