How old were you?

How old were you when the car bug really grabbed you? Was it when you were old enough to drive? Have you just always loved cars or was it like a hobby something to do with your Dad or your friends?

I've always liked anything that moved, anything with an engine. My first love though was aeroplanes and I really wanted to join the RAF because of it. From there came cars, and steam trains. Cars are the more accessible for me of course and so that was the love that grew. I was about 21 when I first took notice of cars.

I really didn't start getting to like cars until I reached the age to drive. I have to admit to being a little bit afraid of those four-wheeled automobiles that could run me over due to careless drivers out there. My Dad shook me out of that reverie though when he started showing me how to drive his truck, so now, I am not afraid!

I did not really have any interest in cars until I was old enough to drive one. Now that I can though I must admit I love to see a or drive a shiny new car.

I'm one of those little kids who's dad had to save her life cause she took the brake off pretending to drive while he filled it up with petrol! So I guess I've had the bug since I was like 3

It all started at the time when I was old enough to legally drive by myself without having to sneak out at night and bring the car out! You know, those juvenile days when you are all delinquent and soo eager to try out new things but it seems the whole world is conniving as against your wishes? Well, happened to all I guess.

I started to get passionate with cars later. Because I have all the liberty that I wanted. Parents got me a car, which I am free to use and abuse at my own discretion. :-)

Haha, I didn't get my first car until I was 20 and could buy it myself. My parents really should have bought me a car... But my da was already buggin about my lead foot in our old truck. There's no way he was going to get me a car to die in, as he put it!
