Sun Shields

Ok, I know its a LITTLE off season, but I was considering (since I found them on sale) a thermal shield for the front and back of my EVO when I go to the beach and such. They seem possibly worth the buy, but for example, i go the beach once every 2 weeks, and it gets extermely hot inside the vehicle. Anyone know for a fact if these bad boys really knock down the temperature?

I thought they were just to prevent the sun from washing out the interior of your vehicle. Man if something like that will keep the temperature down in the car I AM DOWN!!!!!!!!
