Do You Keep Your EVO for Hobby or Normal Use?

My room mate is an Car Hobbyist. She has a few cars, like the Aston Martin V 12 Vanguish, A Jaguar XK 120, and an Evolution VIII. The only time she drove any of them was that single trip home from the places she bought them. She prefers just looking at them and keeping them clean and spiffy.

I've personally been saving up for an EVO VIII, but once I do buy mine, I'm going to use it for everyday use. There's nothing better than flaunting an exceptionally well-built car!

So, what do you guys do in terms of your EVOs? Do you collect them or drive them?

I think once I get my Evo, it will be a little of column A and little from column B. I will have two cars, I think I will use my current car for going to work, and the Evo for going out.

No way mate, that's tragic! If you want something to sit and look at, buy a die cast model of the cars and sit it on your mantle piece! It's such a shame that those cars are going to waste.

Mine was given to me, but as long as I can afford the petrol for it, it will be driven every day.

Mine is my run around, every day, never without it car. The only things that I can see making me leave it at home are if it's broken down or if I need to hire a pickup truck or a van to move something somewhere. Otherwise, what's the point in buying a car?

I have EVO III and HE is my everyday car, it is great pleasure to drive it to work or to race so I think he is my as hobby car as car for every day use.

I keep the tommi tucked away during the week, and bring it out for a local cruise at weekends :-)

Because I don't use the car every day, it stays relatively clean and when I do take it out, it STILL feels like the first day I drove it

budman I would have to agree (nice handle there by the way), keeping one tucked away when you are working crazy hours, maybe not in the best security places for autos and so on, I would have to keep my baby hidden. Big kid toys are good to keep tucked away, then I think when you are messing with the, you end up appreciating them more!

I'd never even thought about doing that. Bit stupid of me really. I have a second car, I might as well use IT as the daily run, and put it through the risk of multi story theft or damage, and save my baby for nice. But that almost feels like cheating on it......

Ha, good to see we have a little of both here! Yeah, I'm one to think that the EVO is a pretty fancy vehicle, but I'm not just going to leave it in a garage to stare at! Soon as I get mine, I'll be using it for everyday use. I never really understood hobbyists, but hey, it's their choice. I can't imagine not driving around in that sleek automobile though.

I can say that my Dad is an evo-enthusiast. He practically knows every information you'd wanna know about the evo. Though he don't have the latest one as yet. He just loves evo!
