Look what mitsi did to my car!
My VIII went in for it's mot and a service last week. I was told it had failed for the fog light being on the wrong side and no cat.
I thought, no problem, took the cat in and told them to shift the fog light. Collected the car today, nows alls sorted, and found THIS next to the steering wheel! Straight on the phone, WTF is going on with the green light?!?. What green light sir? So a conversation ensuded into what the hell this thing was.... Turns out it was fitted to show the rear fog is on, but isn't that what the light on the dash is for? Instead of changing the bulb in the dash they have decided to cut a hole into my cars dash to show the fog is on. Ready for the icing on the cake? If I put my front fogs on the new light in the dash comes on...... put on the rear fog and it goes out!! So pretty bloody pointless eh? Now what do you think they should do to rectify the problem? The VIII is for sale this month, but I can't sell it like that! |

That is what happens when you let a load of numpties loose on your car.
I have to admit a lot of people on here say how c%%p mitsi are best to have a nice friendly garage who know what they are doing or atleast have the common courtesy to phone you first before violating your pride and joy. Hope you will take the matter further as they messed up without your consent.

I bet u must be
I would tell them to wire it up properly & use the correct light as red is most commonly used for the fog light switch.If not tell them u dont want a cheap dash repair but a new dash instead as they had drilled a hole with out the owners consent. What type of fog light fittings do the standard 8 have? & did they use the same kit in your car? It might be worth investigating as Im sure this cant be a standard fitment on all evos. If its not then hit them where it hurts

Bunch of useless W@NKERS
This is the reason neither of my cars have ever gone to Mitsi for service, including the VIII when it was brand new. And the reason why I would never buy an Evo with full Mitsi service history. |

But then this is mitzi monkeys were talking about here, not one NVQ level 2 between them !! Bang em for a new dash mate, they had no right to drill, and it don't even work right ?!?!

Right, now I'm REALLY pi**ed.
Went to pick up the M in law from work tonight and not only does the front fog switch tun both on and the rear fog switch turn both on but the headlight level switch doesn't bloody work either! And seeing as my headlights are now facing the floor so I can't see 6 foot in front of me (not good as I live in the middle of nowhere) but I can't see how my car passed it's test?? Surely this is a failure?? Need to know for def as I'm gonna go straight to Trading Sandards tomorrow morning. Called mitsi today folowing yesterdays conversation with them and bugger all has been done. Apparently the Area manager is on holiday and the fitter who did the work is off as I wanted to have a rant as to why they did this. Jon |

Jon mate, I think a call to VOSA is required.
I can't do anything until monday for you mate, but Vosa is only two doors down from work and if you email all your problems and questions I can pop round during my lunch break and ask what ever you want and then give you a call and let you know what has been said. If this is any help to you just give us a ring. Remember not to ring the works number as I am not there till 9 on Monday. T
