insurance

Got my renewal through yesterday. Liv and Vic. Wait for it............£1128.00
I think they are having a laugh :shock: I rang up spoke to a guy who said "our underwriters no longer want Evo/subaru business!!!!
So I went on to elephant.......................................... ..£676.00......Lovely that will do nicely I said....

You should have tried Keith Michaels mate, they were the best we could find. Plus you get a discount for being a fully paid up member of evo net.

Elephant don't do the early evo's except the 1800 gsr so they wouldn't quote us when we contacted them.

I was going to ring around matey! but anything under £700 for an evo is good enough for me.

Got a nice deal with Keith Michaels in the end though 8)

I was insured with elephant for a year a while back, renewal came in and i kid you not it was 4 quid cheaper than the year before.

WHAT? a years no claims is worth 4 quid? ;p

Thing is mate, ins costs go up every year so the £4.00 was probably what was left after they put up their prices. NU are putting theirs up by %16 this week so everyone else will be following suit.

Well i know that can be the case but i think they messed up when i got the initial policy. I was getting quotes of 1150 on the interweb from them and when i sat down to do it for real with the same details as before, it was 1000 straight. 150 quid was gone in 2 days ;p was £996 the following year, thankfully someone done it 300 quid cheaper :D
