YOUR EVO,Does it live up to your expectations

Right peeps it would be interesting to hear what your thoughts are on your evo?
Does it come up to your expectations?
whats your bigest likes and dis-likes?
Is it better or worse than any other car you have previously owned and in what way?

Right guys this is not a slag the evo thread but just think it could make some interesting reading so please try to keep it sencible

it is without a doubt the best car i have owned (but all my previous cars were sheds) and it does exactly what its meant too just a pity the modding bug is biting my ass at the moment so i shall vote yes i have no complaints at all about the car and it always makes me smile when i drive it 8)

Il start this one off :muhaha:

Over the moon with the car and it does what it says on the tin and more.
Downside,I knew the running costs were high on these cars but they are even more than i expected TBH but worth it.the car still puts a smile on my face every time i drive it,even on my way to a service :muhaha:

For a 13yr old car, it's the best but not the most reliable car we have owned.

Got to admit both of us have hated the car at times, not for the cost of repairs but the amount of time we have lost working on it. Threatened to sell it a few times.

Still brings a smile on our faces, still turns heads and still quick enough to shock a few people :muhaha:

I have to agree with all 3 of you, its exactly what it says it is, but the modding part does definately get hold of you, well not so much me but deane it has, and i can curse him at times but then its all forgotten when i go out in the car, it just reminds me of what its all about, and yes ive also threatened to sell it lol.

hmmm interesting.

When i first got it id only been in a skyline (admittedley at 170mph  )so had no real idea what to expect. I went for a IV when maybe i should have gone for a VI but thats irrelavent!

Thought it was awesome when i got it, and still do, although i rapidly got used to the power. Driving a truck all day every day keeps it fresh, a fast drive home always brings a smile to my face but still, still i havent cracked the handling yet, despite improving various things, it still feels a little nervous at the back and it always makes me back off that slight fraction, maybe thats a good thing!!!!! I know what it can do after having an ample demonstration from Mr Jessop that i still talk about to my M8 with a GT-4 celica - which although i can waste it on the flat, i cant (or dare'nt) stay with it in the bends which does dissapoint me!!!!

Reliability has been top draw, i thought it would have cost me a fortune so far but i service it myself, and she flew through her MOT, its only cost me a battery so far in over a year now in failed items.

Best, fastest and most capable car ive ever owned and it would be difficult to part with it now. Gets loads of attention despite its age and sounds fantastic!

Only downside is the amount i spend at shell but i knew that before i got it....

This car seems to get a hold of you and pulls you in the good looks and power just keep you coming back for more

It is also the most capable car I have ever owned, running it on trackdays in the UK and in Europe there is not must that can keep up with it, BUT same again if you use the car like myself it becomes a little like a women (and excuse the saying) “High maintenance”, every time you use it something needs fixing or setting up and I can get a little tedious at times.

I have thought about getting other cars for track use but the evo just seems to have that charm effect, everyone just loves it :muhaha:
